CLSK, or Connecting Lives through Shared Kreations, is an original, authentic support system, dedicated to the highest quality of art/entertainment, and designed to serve as a positive influence & inspiration for the entire urban community.
That’s CLSK, or www.thatsclsk.com, offers a one of a kind experience for the hip hop/urban culture, by implementing the best supportive platform for all originally shared art/entertainment, and by providing the highest quality of merchandise and other related goods, to motivate and encourage an active, positive lifestyle.
What is CLSK? What is it’s origin?
CLSK is a support-based platform out of Boston, MA, created to acknowledge and showcase the urban talent of today’s art/entertainment industry – locally, nationally, and worldwide.
It was formerly known as “Classick”, which was my rap alias beginning in 2010 – an ad lib I recorded that describes my artistry well (“classic” and “sick” together!) However, as I continued exploring this rap world – releasing music, videos, performing at shows, etc. – I noticed I wasn’t the only one with the name “Classick”. I thought I was being different than everyone else, and then boom! – I find this artist who was already running with the name. So I went back to the drawing board.
I needed to change my brand name at that point. I was doing more than your typical, unsigned artist – I had developed my own website, opened up a beat store with my own production, redesigned my own logo, and more. Everything in my past had turned over by this time, so I needed my brand to reflect this transition. I thought about ways I can change the name, but I didn’t want to change the root of it. So I simply condensed it to “CLSK”.
“CLSK” can still be pronounced as “classick”, but the difference is what it stands for in it’s entirety – Connecting Lives through Shared Kreations. It’s not just a rap alias anymore, or a nickname I answer to – it’s now a platform, designed and dedicated to recognize and support similar talents and relative works of excellence in today’s urban art/entertainment industry.
What purpose does That’s CLSK serve?
“That’s CLSK”, or www.thatsclsk.com, serves as an online platform used to support and showcase all of today’s urban art/entertainment excellence. It’s a place for all upcoming musicians, thespians, entrepreneurs, athletes, and others to share their works of art (kreations) and gain the possible exposure necessary to further their careers. It’s also a place for all creatives to socialize and connect with each other. Your fans and supporters can browse the site and find various forms of your work to inspire and motivate their lives.
The major difference from other platforms that this website offers is a 100% positive experience. Everything posted and shared on this site is meant to uplift those who are down, and motivate those who are uncertain. I want to implement a professional support chain, that provides a creative outlet for this new generation of artists, thespians, musicians, entrepreneurs, athletes, and many other creators.
